UK buyers can get £500 towards a new Surface for trading in an old laptop
Surface fans in the UK can save some money on their next device thanks to a new promotion. People in the UK can trade in old laptops to receive up to £500 towards a Surface Pro X, Surface Pro 7, or Surface Laptop 3. To participate in the promotion, you have to preorder a Surface device before October 22, 2019.
A Microsoft webpage breaks down the promotion and also lists details on how much money different devices are worth. Any working laptop up to five years old is worth £100. Any MacBook up to two years old is worth £500. Several Surface devices are worth £500, including any Surface Pro 6, any Surface Laptop 2, and any Surface Book 2.
The October Surface event unveils several new Surface devices, stretching the designs of the Surface line. The Surface Laptop 3 is now available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants, and the Surface Pro X has the thinnest bezels and body of any Surface Pro ever. The Surface Pro 7 shares much of its design with the Surface Pro 6, but has upgrade internals and USB-C port.
