Destiny 2 ‘Festival of the Lost’ event announced, offers spooky rewards
Destiny 2 developer Bungie has announced the return of Festival of the Lost, a Halloween-themed event, for 2019 in a blog post. The event is slated to run from October 29 to November 19, and it will be available to all players, on all platforms, regardless of whether or not they own any of the game’s expansions. It is important to note, however, that players will need to be above 770 Power level to engage with the event. Players will be able to participate in the event’s festivities by speaking to Eva Levante in the Tower.
What’s new with Festival of the Lost?
There’s a wide variety of content coming to Destiny 2 with Festival of the Lost. From Eva, you’ll be able to get a special Masquerader Helmet, which will then allow you to earn pieces of Candy and Chocolate Strange Coins from defeating enemies, completing Festival of the Lost bounties, and completing Festival of the Lost activities such as the Haunted Forest, which is returning from the previous event. These items can be used to purchase new mask ornaments for your helmet, as well as an assortment of other themed cosmetic items. You can also use Candy to obtain the 950 Power Braytech Werewolf Auto Rifle, too.
On top of this, there will also be an assortment of cosmetic items exclusive to Eververse, Destiny 2’s in-game cosmetic store. Whether or not you’ll have to buy them with the game’s paid currency, Silver, is unknown, but hopefully there will be an opportunity to earn these items or purchase them with Bright Dust, which you can earn in-game by completing bounties.
