A few weeks ago, Reef Entertainment revealed that it was working on a Terminator game called Terminator: Resistance. Many expected it to be a generic multiplayer experience, but it’s actually a story-driven, single-player, first-person shooter. According to the developer, Terminator: Resistance lets you experience the events leading up to the decisive final battle for the fate of mankind in the war against the machines.
There are a few different gameplay options. You can always go in guns blazing, or adopt a sneaky approach where you hack Skynet’s defenses. You can level up your skills and explore a post-apocalyptic world for scrap. It’s unclear if this features a semi-open-world structure, but it’ll be interesting to see when the game launches on December 10.
The other misconception was that Terminator: Resistance was just a small game, but it turns out it’s quite an expansive experience. The price is also $60, priced right alongside other AAA shooters. If you love the Terminator franchise and can’t wait to get your hands on the title, you can preorder it right now through the Microsoft Store.
