Following months of rumors, leaks, and regulatory sightings, Samsung finally officially announced the Galaxy A31. The Android mid-ranger has been devised to pack decent bang for your buck and the company’s hoping to drive that point home with a new infographic featured below. The promo focuses on the core specifications of the Galaxy A31 and places the quadruple camera on its back front and center. The solution is in line with what we’ve come to expect in this price range, pairing a general-purpose lens with a wide-angle one and backing it with two specialized modules for macro and bokeh-heavy portrait photography.Samsung Galaxy A31 unveiledAs the Galaxy A31’s main sensor is a 48-megapixel affair, it’s fair to expect rather sharp images in decent lighting conditions at the expense of somewhat dubious low-light performance. Then again, even today’s best-in-class smartphones are hardly masters of nighttime photography.Another major selling point of the Galaxy A31 is its 5,000mAh battery which has been rumored for a while now. The infographic doesn’t spell out the make and model of the SoC inside the Galaxy A31, though it provides enough details to indicate Samsung truly opted for a third-party chipset from MediaTek, as a recent benchmark sighting already suggested. That’s hardly surprising seeing how the Galaxy A41 launched last week is in a similar silicon boat. With that said, the implementation of what’s likely the Helio P65 appears to be somewhat conservative here, with the company citing a 1.7GHz operating frequency for its hexa-core Cortex-A55 module, down from 2.0GHz that was in testing, according to the aforementioned benchmark listing. The Galaxy A31 is expected to release in the coming weeks, though Samsung still hasn’t revealed any pricing or availability details. The device will retail in Prism Crush Black, White, Blue, and Red.
