NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER up to 1.5x faster than the GeForce GTX 1660

NVIDIA announced two new mid-range GPUs, the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER and the GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER. The GeForce 1660 SUPER is available now for an MSRP of $229. The GeForce 1650 SUPER will be available on November 22.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER is “designed for high-fidelity 1920×1080 gaming” according to Razer. It’s up to 1.5 times faster than the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. One of the main reasons that the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER is faster is the addition of 14 Gbps GDDR6 VRAM. This boosts peak memory bandwidth to 336 GB’s. According to Razer, this improves frame rates by up to 20 percent.

The GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER is an entry-level GPU that has improved performance when compared to previous generations and older hardware that remains popular.

In addition to announcing the new GPUs, NVIDIA announced new features for GeForce gamers, including ReShade filters, Sharpening in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and NVIDIA Ultra Low Latency Mode with G-Sync support. All of the new features are fully outlined in NVIDIA’s announcement post.
