Galaxy M10 is getting a new software update with April 2021 security patch

Samsung has been consistently releasing Android 11 updates and the latest security patches to its smartphones and tablets. It was the first brand to roll out the April 2021 security patch. Now, the company has released a new security patch to the Galaxy M10.

The Galaxy M10 (SM-M105G) has started receiving a new software update in Malaysia and Vietnam. This new update brings the April 2021 security patch to the smartphone. The new software rolling out in Malaysia has firmware version M105GDXS6CUD6, while Vietnam is getting the update with firmware version M105GDXS6CUD4. As per Samsung’s documentation, the April 2021 security patch fixes various critical vulnerabilities, and includes 21 fixes from Samsung and 30 fixes from Google.

We don’t have an official changelog for the update yet, but it is safe to assume that it doesn’t bring new features to the Galaxy M10, and includes just security-related fixes and stability improvements. If you are a Galaxy M10 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.

The update could roll out in more countries over the next few days. The Galaxy M10 was launched in February 2019 with Android 8.1 Oreo. Since then, Samsung has released two major Android updates to the phone, and it is currently running Android 10 (with One UI 2).
