The update gives a first taste of the huge makeover to the WhatsApp emoji keyboard. The rollout, however, looks gradual, as it hasn’t been rolled out to all beta testers as of yet. The new WhatsApp emoji keyboard makes it much easier to switch between emoji, GIFs, and stickers. You don’t need to tap on the tiny buttons to scroll through the emojis, GIFs, and stickers section.

Now, there is a large pill-shaped bar, with dedicated tabs for switching between the three sections. Moreover, you can swipe up to the top edge of the keyboard to make the emoji keyboard three times as tall. Some beta testers also pointed out that the paper clip icon, which is for attachments, previously available besides the camera icon, is now a plus icon in the left corner of the box.

The latest WhatsApp beta update also brings a new settings page for community and group admins to control who can add new groups to a community. In order to enjoy all these new features, you need to be a beta tester and wait for your turn to experience them.
