The WD Easystore 14TB hard drive has dropped to $250 today only

Best Buy has the WD Easystore 14TB desktop hard drive on sale for $249.99. That’s a $50 difference over what the hard drive was going for yesterday, and it matches a low price on this version of the Easystore. Right now, this 14TB version of the drive is less expensive than the 12TB version available on Best Buy’s site.

The Easystore is Best Buy’s proprietary drive, but today’s deal matches one we shared yesterday on the WD Elements. If you want to find the same huge capacity drive for the same price check out the Elements, which is available at Newegg for $250.

The WD Easystore is a really simple and easy-to-use desktop hard drive. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac, and it has flexible installation options. The plug-and-play device doesn’t require anything special to start using it, but it does come with optional software additions if you want them.

You’ll get data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps thanks to the USB 3.0 connection. That’s obviously what gives it its wide compatibility, but it’s also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 so you can use it in even more places. Of course the speeds won’t be as fast, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

The drive does come with some software you can use to setup things like automatic backup options. Keep your data safe by making it redundant. The drive should definitely be large enough to fit everything you’ve got. Keep the drive nearby or move it somewhere safe so it’s a secondary location for all of your data. Or just use the drive as a central spot for all your media so you can pull your photos or movies all from one spot. Whatever you do with it is up to you, and it’s large enough you can probably use it as a backup and media storage.
