Galaxy Buds Pro update with ANC improvements is rolling out worldwide

Samsung is improving the Galaxy Buds Pro user experience with a new(ish) firmware update. It was originally released in the USA nearly a week ago but the same update carrying firmware version R190XXU0AUB3 is now making its way onto the Galaxy Buds Pro in the international market.

Same as before, the firmware update is meant to improve upon key Galaxy Buds Pro features. The performance of both Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Ambient Sound was increased as a result, and as usual, the changelog mentions additional system stability and reliability improvements. As discussed in our Galaxy Buds Pro review, ANC and Ambient Sound are two of the strongest points of the new earbuds, and now they’ve just gotten better.

Furthermore, the latest update brings some unspecified changes to the Galaxy Buds Pro’s behavior when the user is wearing a single earbud, though we haven’t really noticed any differences in our limited testing post-update, so perhaps these improvements are under the hood. Without offering any additional details, the changelog simply states that the operating concept has been changed for single earbud use cases.

The latest Galaxy Buds Pro firmware update weighs a little over 2MB and it can be downloaded via the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone. Simply launch the app, access Earbuds software update and tap Download and install.
