Galaxy A33 5G confirmed to pack this mid-range Exynos chipset

Looking at the frequency at which it is showing up online, Samsung could launch the Galaxy A33 5G anytime now. Previous leaks told us quite a bit about the smartphone, including our exclusive report which stated that it would bear IP67 water and dust resistance rating. Now, we get yet another peek into its innards thanks to its Google Play Console listing.

The Galaxy A33 5G will rock an Exynos 1200 SoC

MySmartPrice stumbled upon the Galaxy A55 5G on the Google Play Console. The listing gives us a good idea about its specifications, which will include an Exynos 1200 SoC (2x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz, 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, ARM Mali G68 MP$ GPU clocked at 1GHz).

Other Galaxy A33 5G specs include 6GB of RAM, an FHD+ screen with a pixel density of 450 DPI and Android 12 based on One UI 4.0. Previous leaks suggested that it would pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, quad rear cameras, and no 3.5mm audio jack. It will be offered in four colour variants, namely black, white, light blue and orange.

All in all, the Galaxy A33 5G is shaping to up be little more than a Galaxy A32 5G with an Exynos processor. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because the latter’s Dimensity 720 SoC didn’t perform particularly well and Samsung’s in-house Exynos silicon has the potential to correct that.
