Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost Halloween event is finally live

Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost event has officially gone live, and it will last until Nov. 19. All players can participate regardless of what DLC they own, although players who got into Destiny 2 with Destiny 2: New Light will need to reach Power level 770 in order to have access to what the event has to offer. This shouldn’t be a problem, though, as going from the base 750 to 770 is a quick process. To start, players should speak to Eva Levante in the Tower.

What’s new with the Festival of the Lost update?

Upon speaking to Eva in the Tower, she will give you a special Masquerader Helmet that will unlock Festival of the Lost activities for you. With it equipped, you can begin earning both Candy and Chocolate Strange Coins from defeating enemies, completing Festival of the Lost bounties, and testing your mettle in the Haunted Forest.

This is a special gauntlet PvE activity that challenges you with killing as many bosses as possible in a limited time frame, and the better you do, the more rewards you get. You can then use your hard-earned Chocolate Strange Coins to unlock mask ornaments for your helmet, and you can use Candy to purchase some other cosmetics, as well as the awesome 950 Power Braytech Werewolf Auto Rifle.

There will also be some items exclusively available in Eververse, Destiny 2’s cosmetics store. You can buy Silver, Destiny 2’s in-game currency. If you don’t want to open your wallet, you can also use Bright Dust, which you can earn through gameplay.

Lastly, owners of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will now have a new dungeon to complete, as well as an exotic quest that rewards players with the Xenophage Machine Gun.

On top of everything in Festival of the Lost, Destiny 2 has also recieved a slew of bug fixes and sandbox adjustments, and some of the player-versus-player (PvP) Crucible playlists have rotated as well.
