Action RPG Scarlet Nexus is now available for Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has announced that Scarlet Nexus has joined its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles and Windows PCs. The title also joins the lineup of cloud-enabled titles, providing access on PC and mobile devices via its Xbox Cloud Gaming platform, with support for touch controls. The announcement arrived via Microsoft’s dedicated Tokyo Game Show showcase on Thursday, alongside a series of other Game Pass additions.

Bandai Namco launched Scarlet Nexus on June 25, 2021, for Xbox consoles including Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One. The title is a futuristic action RPG following psionic soldiers Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall fighting to defend humanity from a horde of psychically empowered mutants dubbed the “Others.” The acclaimed title has been praised for its anime-inspired art style, creative combat system, and intriguing story of coming to grips with newfound abilities and fighting a seemingly hopeless war.

Scarlet Nexus is an unexpected Game Pass addition, especially only a few months after its launch. Does this mean we can expect to see more of Bandai Namco’s acclaimed titles like Tales of Arise, one of the best JRPGs for Xbox, to arrive on Xbox Game Pass soon? We’ll have to wait and see.
