WhatsApp is bringing you more time to delete messages for everyone
A new WhatsApp feature is coming and it will give you more time to delete those embarrassing messages. As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has upgraded the Delete For Everyone feature and its time limit has been extended by a huge margin.
The Delete For Everyone feature, which was introduced in 2017, was fairly strict in terms of the time limit. It was then upgraded and users could now delete the messages sent within 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds. With an imminent update, WhatsApp will soon expand the time limit to a whopping 2 days and 12 hours.
This means users will have more time to process and understand if they want to delete the message. Moreover, WhatsApp group admins will also be able to delete messages from anyone in the group. Telegram already lets users delete their messages within 48 hours of sending them. So, WhatsApp is clearly at a gain of 12 hours here, which is nice.
The upgraded Delete For Everyone feature in WhatsApp is currently seen in the beta version with build 2.22.15.8. It is already live for some Android users. So, there are chances that this feature will make it to the public update soon.
