The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has dropped back down to $140
The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has returned to its low price of $139.99, but this time you’ll find it at GameStop and Microsoft. We shared a similar deal near the end of last year when it dropped to this price at Amazon, but the controller has since sold out there. If you missed your chance and you’re still interested, here’s another opportunity. The GameStop product page has been fluctuating a bit, though, so you might need to check stock at local stores or just refresh the page to see if it comes back.
Dig a little deeper and you’ll find even more customization using the Xbox Accessories app. This is where all the nuance comes into play with things like accentuation curve controls so you can perfect how you play. The rechargeable battery lasts for up to 40 hours so you’ll never have to worry about it dying on you in the middle of a team fight. It even comes with a unique charging dock.
The controller features multiple ways to connect including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a USB-C cable. That makes it easy to connect to your PC, too, if you want to use it for gaming that way.
The Series 2 gets 4.5 stars out of 5 and a The Best badge from our Windows Central review. Jez Corden said the controller’s biggest weakness is its price, so at least today’s deal helps you out with that. The review adds this controller “might be the best controller ever made” with “premium quality, premium features, and premium convenience.”
