Stellaris ‘Federations’ establishes a powerful galactic senate

It looks like Stellaris isn’t done getting even more content. Today, Paradox Interactive announced another expansion for the critically-acclaimed experience. The game is an evolution of the 4X grand strategy genre with space exploration at its core. It features complex gameplay, a diverse selection of aliens, and emergent storytelling like many modern titles. According to the publisher, the game contains “engaging moments that reward interstellar exploration” as you traverse, discover, interact, and learn more about the characters you encounter.

The diplomacy-themed expansion, Federations, is coming later this year and focuses on negotiation above all else. The pen is mightier than the plasma launcher with the establishment of a powerful galactic senate. There’s also a new species pack called Lithoids available for preorder now. It costs $8 and is launching on October 24.

Xbox Game Pass is a monthly subscription service that costs $10 a month on Xbox One or PC. If you’re a new PC subscriber, you may be eligible for a promotion. You gain access to a number of great games and can download them immediately through the Microsoft Store. Keep in mind that only the base game is part of Xbox Game Pass. If you want to play the many expansions, you’ll have to purchase them separately. It’s easily a title you can spend hundreds of hours playing, maybe more.
