Samsung’s tablet from 2020 gets access to February 2024 security update

Samsung has released the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020). It is the company’s first tablet to get this new security patch. The February 2024 security update was first released last week to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Now, the update will be released to more phones and tablets soon.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite gets February 2024 security update

The new software update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite comes bearing firmware version P615XXS7FXA1. It is available in Bangladesh, France, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. It brings the February 2024 security patch that fixes 72 security vulnerabilities that were discovered in Samsung smartphones and tablets. It is a minor update and only brings the security patch, so don’t expect to see any new features or performance improvements after installing it on your Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

If you have a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020) and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update now. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. However, you need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process and have access to a computer that runs Windows OS and has the Odin tool.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The device received the Android 11 update in late 2020 and the Android 12 update in late 2021. The device received the Android 13 update in late 2022.
