Samsung is officially teasing the Galaxy S23 FE

Samsung has a lot of Fan Edition devices lined up to spam consumers with later this year. There’s the Galaxy S23 FE, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+, and the Galaxy Buds FE, and while they haven’t been unveiled officially yet, they were revealed by Samsung Argentina this week, suggesting they will be launched very soon.

Another indication of their imminent arrival is a teaser posted by Samsung India on X/Twitter. This teaser leaked yesterday and shows a picture of three cameras in a vertical layout with the text “The New Epic” next to them, confirming that the S23 FE will have upgraded cameras.

The exact date for the Galaxy S23 FE’s launch could be October 4, which can be seen in a photo of the device on the Samsung Argentina website, but that cannot be confirmed at this time. Still, the important thing here is that our wait for the Galaxy S23 FE is almost over, and that’s good because this device has been nearly two years in the making.

Unfortunately, the Galaxy S23 FE will not be using the latest hardware when it hits retail shelves. The phone will be powered by the Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips that were used by the Galaxy S22 series last year instead of the Galaxy S23’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip or even the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that powered Samsung’s foldables last year.

Samsung does seem to have optimized performance on the Galaxy S23 FE, as benchmarks show it performing faster than the Galaxy S22 despite using the same Exynos chip, but we can see some prospective customers being disappointed nonetheless.
