Samsung confirms launch date of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Fold 2

Merely a day after a teaser was leaked online which revealed when Samsung’s next Unpacked event is going to take place, the company today officially confirmed the event date. It’s expected to unveil the Galaxy S11/S20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 at the event.Samsung posted the same teaser on its official social media channels today, confirming that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on February 11, 2020. The event will most likely take place in San Francisco, California.Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Fold 2 launch date confirmedThis will be Samsung’s first flagship launch of the new year and expectations are already quite high for the Galaxy S11, which recent reports suggest may actually be called the Galaxy S20. We know that it’s going to bring some great camera enhancements and possibly even a high refresh rate display.What’s more interesting for most people is the company’s second foldable smartphone. Samsung has all but confirmed that its next Galaxy Fold will have a clamshell design. Some photos of the device have even leaked online in recent weeks. The handset is likely going to cost under $1000 which means that the Galaxy Fold 2 will bring foldable smartphones within reach of a much wider audience than the original Galaxy Fold which cost $2,000.Samsung is also going to unveil the Galaxy Buds+ at the event. There have been rumors that it might support active noise cancellation but there’s no concrete evidence to support the theory just yet.As previously mentioned, the event will most likely take place in San Francisco, California.
