Meizu 21 Pro arrives with 6.79″ LTPO display, 50MP main and 10MP 3x tele cameras

Meizu may be pulling out of the smartphone business to focus on AI, but the Geely-owned company has at least one more model to launch before it waves goodbye. A Pro version of the Meizu 21 with a better screen, a tele camera and a bigger battery with wireless charging just went official.

Let’s start from the front. The Meizu 21 Pro is equipped with a 6.79” AMOLED display with 1,368 x 3,192px resolution (21:9) and 1,250 nits peak brightness. This is an LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate (for comparison, the vanilla 21 has a 6.55” FHD+ 19.5:9 display). The 32MP selfie camera is the same.

Behind the glass is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but with 12GB of RAM as standard (up from 8GB) and with a 16GB version. Also, storage comes in 256GB, 512GB and now 1TB capacities too.

Going around the back, the 200MP camera is gone, replaced by a 50MP main. To pick up the slack when it comes to zooming in, there is a 72mm (3x) telephoto module with a 10MP sensor (and up to 30x digital zoom). The ultra wide camera is the same at 13MP 122° (15mm). There is a ToF depth sensor to improve autofocus, the main camera can record 8K video and enjoys OIS and EIS stabilization.
