Here’s how to use all the different consumables in Minecraft Dungeons
Minecraft Dungeons has a plethora of different items and equipment to use including weapons, armor, artifacts, and even unique gear. On top of all of that, we also have consumables and pick-up items you can find in the world. Here’s everything you need to know about power-ups, pick-up items, and consumables in Minecraft Dungeons.
How can I use power-ups and consumables in Minecraft Dungeons?
If you’ve picked up some TNT, you’ll notice your character actually carrying it over their head as they move around the map. You’ll need to choose carefully where you put this, as TNT has a pretty big bang, but you get to choose. Once you’ve picked up TNT, you can face in any direction and press the attack button. Your character will chuck the TNT a decent distance, and you’ll see the outline of its explosive power surrounding it. Stay outside of the circle, and you’ll be set.
As far as other power-ups are concerned, all that you need to worry about is what each one does and how they’re useful to you. Here are all the various power-ups, pick-up items, and consumables in Minecraft Dungeons.
What are all of the different power-ups and consumables in Minecraft Dungeons?
Food
All food items apply a temporary regenerative health bonus, and this effect is applied immediately. If you’re going into or are coming out of a tough battle, and you don’t want to use up a valuable and time-restricted health potion, you can kill some livestock, seek out supply chests, or (if you’re very fortunate) find a piggy bank and use food to heal up beforehand. It’ll also make you a little harder to kill as your health regenerates even while you’re taking damage.
The food we know of in the game includes:
- Apples.
- Bread.
- Pork.
Potions
Potions in Minecraft Dungeons apply instant temporary boosts similar to food, but instead, increase your stats for a little while. For example, strength potions will increase your attack damage, while swiftness potions will increase your movement speed. The shadow brew grants you invisibility and makes your next melee attack extra powerful. There may be many more potions as well, but those are the two we know of right now.
The potions we know of in the game include:
- Potion of strength.
- Potion of swiftness.
- Shadow brew.
Other supplies
This category is for pick-up items and consumables that don’t apply instant temporary boosts but instead require active usage. TNT is a relatively common one, as it can be dropped from random enemies who are defeated. Arrows, which are necessary for taking down enemies with a bow (and are very useful for creepers), don’t follow you through levels if you go above the minimum 60 you start with.
The supplies we know of in the game include:
- TNT.
- Arrows.
A quick snack and a handful of TNT
Power-ups, pick-up items, and consumables can give you much-needed boosts at the apex of a battle, or help you prepare for an upcoming confrontation with a tough boss. There could be many more consumables in Minecraft Dungeons than are in this guide, so we’ll be sure to update this as soon as we find them. In the meantime, keep an eye out and use these powerful items to your advantage!
