Halo Infinite is still slated to arrive later this year, with the team at 343 Industries working on various technical previews, to identify more common bugs and issues. During the August 2021 development update on the game, 343 Industries confirmed that the next technical preview will include Big Team Battle.

This mode pits two teams of 12 players against each other in a variety of objective-based modes, on bigger maps with plenty of different vehicles to play around with. 343 Industries confirmed that this test will also feature more bots, as well as PvP (player vs. player) combat in the Arena mode. There is not a date for this technical test yet, though it’s safe to expect we’ll learn more soon.

Creative Director Joseph Staten also offered an update on other features in Halo Infinite at launch. While campaign and multiplayer will both be present, Staten explained that the team decided to delay campaign co-op and Forge mode until about three months and six months after launch, respectively. This decision was made to allow the team to polish the most critical aspects of the game.

Halo Infinite is currently scheduled to arrive at some point in Holiday 2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Xbox One.
