Galaxy S21 series getting its second update in June, find out what’s new

The Galaxy S21 lineup was among the first to receive the June 2021 security update, which was quite an important one, as Samsung said it would fix the insane lag and stutter the camera app on the Galaxy S21 smartphones can sometimes suffer from. Well, Samsung is now sending out the second update for its latest flagships just a week later, once again promising that the performance of the camera has been improved.

The first June update for the Galaxy S21 series did noticeably improve camera performance. We don’t have the kind of lag when zooming in and out as we did before that update came along, though things are still not as smooth as we would like. The latest firmware update is now rolling out in the UAE, just like the first June patch did. However, it’s also being released in other markets that haven’t received the first June release, such as Thailand. This indicates that some markets will skip the first June release and receive the anticipated camera performance improvements directly through the second June update.

Either way, the latest Galaxy S21 update can be identified by firmware number G99xBXXU3AUF2, and as always, it will be accompanied by an update notification. Customers who haven’t received the notification can attempt to trigger the update by launching the Settings app on their phones and accessing Software update.
