Honor Play 9A passes through TENAA
Thanks to a rather substantial leak, form just a few hours ago, we are already quite familiar with the Honor Play 9A. Today brings a TENAA certification listing for the phone, hinting strongly at an imminent release, while also re-affirming most of its specs.

We only say “most” here, since TENAA does claim the MED-AL20 and MOA-AL20, both known model numbers of the Honor Play 9A, pack a 4,900 mAh battery. While our original source did list 5,000 mAh. Frankly, this really isn’t a big deal and we might be looking at a fairly standard case of maximum or advertised capacity, versus rated or typical one. The fact that both sources list the exact same, very specific 159.07 x 74.06 x 9.04 mm measurements for the phone, leave little room for doubt. Both also mention a 6.3-inch FullHD+ display, with a waterdrop notch design.
As for other bits and pieces on the Honor Play 9A, we already know – It will be based around the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. In the camera department, we expect to see a 13MP main shooter, paired with a 2MP depth module. A traditional fingerprint reader on the back of the phone, 10W battery charging, Android 10, with Magic UI 3.0 and a selection of green, blue and black color options round things off, as we currently know them. No word on pricing or availability quite yet.
