Galaxy S10 February security update rolling out in more countries

The February security update has been released for all of Samsung’s flagship phones launched in the last year. The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ were the first to get the latest security patch, followed by the Galaxy S10 and, as recently as today, the Galaxy Fold. The Galaxy S10 series received the update in the US first, and the Exynos-powered model followed soon after.Now, the February update for the Exynos model has spread to a lot more countries. As we write this, the update is rolling out in nearly 15 countries, including the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Malaysia. The update sports firmware version G975xXXU4BTA8 and, in addition to the February 2020 security patch, brings “improvements to the overall stability of functions.”It’s unclear what those improvements are about, but the update hopefully fixes the camera issue that seems to have affected some Galaxy S10 smartphones after the Android 10 update. Some users have complained that their phone can completely freeze when they open the Camera app, and while it doesn’t seem to be too widespread, the issue is bound to be frustrating for those who are affected by it.If you own a Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, or Galaxy S10+, you can check for the latest update by opening the phone’s Settings app, selecting Software update, then tapping Download and install.
