Galaxy S22’s Android Auto problems fixed with latest update

Ever since the Galaxy S22 series was launched, people have been having problems running Android Auto. Many users complained of the phone only getting charged rather than projecting Android Auto UI on their car’s infotainment system. Now, the problem appears to have been fixed.

Google has released a new version of Android Auto (version 7.7), which seems to have fixed cable-related issues on the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This new update is currently in the beta phase, but you can download the APK and install it on your Galaxy S22 series smartphone.

However, the new update seems to have introduced a new problem. Some users are seeing a black screen on their car’s infotainment system even after a successful connection. This is not just related to the Galaxy S22 series, though, as even Pixel smartphone owners have started reporting this issue, so it looks like Google is the one who needs to fix it.

Some users have claimed that their Samsung device even rebooted after showing a black screen. While Google has marked this issue as fixed in the bug tracker, people are still facing it. So, it seems that Google still has some work cut out for its Android Auto app.
