Galaxy Note 20 gets March 2023 security update in the US

Last month, Samsung released the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy Note 20 series, and it included the February 2023 security patch. Now, the company has released the March 2023 security update to carrier-locked and unlocked models of the Galaxy Note 20 series in the US.

The latest update for the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s unlocked versions in the US comes with firmware version N98xU1UES3HWB7. For the carrier-locked versions of the phones, the update comes with firmware version N98xUSQS3HWB7. The new update brings the March 2023 security patch that fixes over 50 security issues found in Galaxy smartphones.

For carrier-locked versions of the phones, the update is live on Sprint, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile’s networks. The unlocked units of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are getting the update on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, Cricket, C-Spire, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile’s networks.

If you have a Galaxy Note 20 series smartphone in the US, you can now download and install the March 2023 security update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also flash the new firmware manually after downloading the latest file from our firmware database.
