Galaxy A72 starts getting March 2022 security update

Samsung has released the March 2022 security update to dozens of smartphones over the past few weeks. Now, the update is being expanded to the Galaxy A72. The new software update is currently rolling out in Russia, but we expect it to soon roll out in other countries.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A72 comes with firmware version A725FXXU4BVC1. It includes the March 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes, device stability improvements, and better performance.

If you are a Galaxy A72 user in Russia, you can check for the latest OTA update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A72 in early 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 software. It received the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update a few months ago and is expected to get the One UI 4.1 update soon.
