Galaxy A21s gets the taste of Android 12 and One UI 4.1
After releasing the Android 12 update to the Galaxy A02s and the Galaxy A03s, Samsung has released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy A21s. The update is currently available in Russia and could expand to more countries within the next few days.
The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A21s has firmware version A217FXXU8DVF6. It also includes the June 2022 security patch that fixes over 60 privacy and security vulnerabilities. The update brings a revamped UI design with the Color Palette feature, better Dark Mode, new widgets, better widget designs, a new widget picker UI, and thicker sliders for brightness and volume.

Samsung has also improved all of its stock apps, including Calendar, My Files, Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard. The Calendar app now supports emojis in entries and offers a way to restore deleted entries. The Gallery app now offers enhances stories and better album sorting.
The built-in image editor keeps editing history, which means that you walk back on edits. It also offers a way to remaster old or blurry shots. You can also remove sensitive info from images, like date, time, and location, while sharing them with others. Samsung Keyboard offers Grammarly-powered language suggestions, while Samsung Internet brings better anti-tracking measures and a new search widget.
The Device Care section has received a facelift. Samsung has also improved the search experience across the system. Privacy and security have been improved through privacy indicators and quick setting toggles to enable or disable camera and microphone usage across the system.
Samsung has also improved accessibility features, Picture-in-Picture, Edge Panels, and the sharing menu. You can now initiate calls directly from the messaging screen. The Camera app now has a cleaner design and starts recording videos as soon as your finger touches the shutter button. Earlier, the video started recording after your finger left the shutter button.
If you live in Russia and have a Galaxy A21s, you can download and install the Android 12 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually. The phone was launched with Android 10 and has received two major OS updates. It might not get the Android 13 update.
