Five upcoming Galaxy A (2022) series phones have been approved by Russia

A handful of mid-range Samsung phones belonging to the Galaxy A 2022 series have been approved recently by Russia’s FSA. The list is expansive and includes no fewer than five Galaxy A models covering all price ranges.

Russia greenlit the Galaxy A13, the Galaxy A23 and A33, as well as the Galaxy A53 along with its bigger sibling, i.e., the Galaxy A73 (via LetsGoDigital).

The phones were identified by model numbers: SM-A135F/DS, SM-A235F/DS, SM-A336B/DS, SM-A536B/DS, and SM -A736B/DS. They all have dual-SIM capabilities, and 5G is available for the Galaxy A33, A53, and A73.

The Galaxy A13 is already available in some markets, including the USA. The rest of the Galaxy A (2022) series should be going on sale soon, possibly after the Galaxy S22 flagship trio goes official next week.

Samsung will, of course, be able to sell its upcoming Galaxy A (2022) series in Russia after a Moscow court ruled against the banning of dozens of Galaxy models in the country.

If history is any indication, Samsung should unveil and release the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73 on the same day. As to when it might happen, time will tell, but as a point of reference, the 2021 models were released globally in March.
