EA reports strongest second quarter ever, per Q2 2022 financial results

Electronic Arts (EA) shared its Q2 fiscal year 2022 results, confirming that this was the best second quarter in the company’s history. EA saw over $1.8 billion in net bookings for the quarter. EA also noted that it has completed the acquisition of mobile studio Playdemic, though the team is still being integrated into the rest of EA Worldwide Studios.

In the near future, EA is launching Battlefield 2042, noting that over 7.7 million players took part in the beta. Battlefield 2042 supports 128 players on the latest consoles and PC, with the last-generation versions restricted to 64 players. EA also shared that interest in Battlefield 2042 is higher than interest was heading into 2018’s Battlefield 5.
