BREAKING: Galaxy S23 Android 14 One UI 6.0 beta could launch on August 2!

Samsung may be planning to start off August with a bang for Galaxy S23 owners. According to Samsung Germany customer support, the One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series will start on August 2, followed by a beta program for the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 on August 9.

Initially, the Galaxy S23 beta program was expected to launch in the third week of July. That didn’t happen, but as we had guessed, it doesn’t look like Samsung will delay things too long, which is supported by the fact that Samsung recently added dedicated One UI 6.0 sections to its community forums in India and the US.

However, it is surprising that Samsung might bring the Android 14 and One UI 6.0 beta to Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 owners after the Galaxy S23 series gets it. The company traditionally opens up the beta program for its flagships before moving on to mid-range phones. Not that we’re complaining: it’s always good to see Samsung paying more attention to mid-range Galaxy devices instead of just focusing on its top-of-the-line handsets.

We are also wondering when Samsung plans to release One UI 5.1.1 to its devices. A One UI 5.1.1 beta was released for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Tab S8 in early July, and now that the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Tab S9 are official, Samsung will eventually begin to bring the One UI 5.1.1 update to eligible Galaxy phones and tablets.

But it’s unclear when the One UI 5.1.1 update’s public rollout will begin. It also remains to be seen if the Galaxy S23 lineup will get the One UI 5.1.1 update before the One UI 6.0 beta is released. We’ll let you know as we learn more, so stay tuned.

Thanks for the tip, Dave!
