BREAKING: Galaxy A52 5G One UI 5.1 update released by Samsung
The Galaxy A52 5G is joining a quickly growing list of devices for which Samsung has released the One UI 5.1 update. The Galaxy A52 5G One UI 5.1 update is now being rolled out, bringing features from the Galaxy S23 flagship lineup to one of Samsung’s best mid-range phones.
At the moment, only the 5G variant of the Galaxy A52 seems to be getting One UI 5.1. The update isn’t out yet for the regular Galaxy A52 or the Galaxy A52s 5G, although we can expect the situtation to change real soon considering how Samsung has its foot on the gas and is working quickly at releasing One UI 5.1 to all eligible devices.
According to our reader Kevin, who sent in screenshots from their Galaxy A52 5G. The One UI 5.1 update comes with firmware version A526BXXU2EWB1 and is around a gigabyte in download size. The firmware version might vary based on market, and availability of the update is also dependent on how quickly the local Samsung arm’s software team is able to push it out.
The Galaxy A52 series still has one major update left to go
The Galaxy A52 series, including the Galaxy A52 5G, is eligible for three years of OS upgrades, which means One UI 5.1 is not its last substantial update. That said, all A52 variants/models will have to wait many more months before they get another feature-rich update – Android 14 (and One UI 6.0, if Samsung continues with the version numbering scheme), in case you’re wondering.
Alright, back to the Galaxy A52 5G’s One UI 5.1 update. The rollout seems to be limited for now, though we know the update has at least been released in Singapore. You can check if your phone has gotten the update through our firmware version, or you can try downloading it over the air from the phone’s Settings » Software update menu.
