BEST Black Friday, Cyber Monday gaming headset deals for Xbox and PC

It’s Black Friday Xbox deals week, yay! And if you were looking for a saving on some of the best Xbox headsets around, look no further.

Brands like Turtle Beach, Astro, and SteelSeries have some pretty sizeable savings for the event, with stocks already selling out rapidly across Amazon, Best Buy, and the Microsoft Store. We’re rounding up the best deals we can find throughout the week, checking stocks and the like, to bring you the best savings for Black Friday and into the holiday season.

The best Black Friday Xbox and PC headset deals

My personal favorite, the Astro A50, is currently offering a sizeable $50 saving for Black Friday. The Astro A50 is renowned for its reliability and versatility. As one of the only wireless headsets (actually, the only wireless headset?) with SPDIF optical, this is a great option for content creators who want to mix audio from a USB source like a PC, as well as an Xbox source via your TV or monitor’s optical audio output. Sure, most won’t need that aspect potentially, but beyond that, the charging dock is super convenient, it’s supremely comfortable, and the audio is pretty damn great too.

HyperX is running a sale across various versions of its popular headsets right now, including what is arguably the best-value wired headset for both Xbox and PC on the entire market. The HyperX CloudX has remained relatively unchanged for years, owing to its sheer quality and position in the market as a high-value option for entry-level gaming headsets. Our HyperX CloudX review comes from all the way back in 2016 and remains one of the top recommended headsets after all this time. This is the headset I personally recommend first for those seeking to take a step up from the cheapest no-brand headsets out there.

There’s also the HyperX Cloud II wired headset, which is essentially a CloudX headset under a different name. The real difference here is that for Windows PC users, it comes with an optional USB connector that injects 7.1 surround sound. This is a headset that takes the CloudX a step further for cinematic excellence and spatial awareness.

This is probably the biggest Black Friday Xbox and PC headset saving of the lot, but it’s only really because the RRP is so insane. The B&O BeoPlay Portal is currently offering over $200 off the typical asking price, making its price point slightly more normal.  It’s undeniable that this headset is excellent, in my B&O BeoPlay Portal review I said that it is arguably the best Xbox headset out there for those who want a headset that can truly do it all. The problem, of course, is the absurd price. Genuine leather, AptX codecs for Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and premium materials all cost money, undoubtedly. This is a headset for those who fancy a product they can use for basically everything and those who have cash to burn.

Next, we have the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen-2 MAX which reviewed nicely with us, and is enjoying a decent saving over at Best Buy as of writing. The Stealth 600 is an entry-level wireless Xbox headset, ideal for those who want to ditch the cables without blowing up their bank account. Turtle Beach’s tactical sound tuning accentuates highs, which gives you elevated spatial awareness in games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Apex Legends. While they aren’t the most immersive headset for listening to music or playing cinematic games and so on, the tactical sound profile shouldn’t be underestimated for competitive play. The mic is also retractable with a flip-to-mute feature, and also delivers mic-monitoring so you can regulate your own speech volume. This headset is primarily designed for Xbox, but it can be used on PC with a fairly cheap USB Xbox Wireless Adapter from Amazon (opens in new tab)

Next up, we have the similar Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen-2 MAX which we also reviewed, which is also a great option from the company. This headset has slightly improved audio which still hinges on the tactical tuning, but thanks to its accompanying app, you can adjust the soundscape a little more than you can with the Stealth 600. Indeed, this headset also sports Bluetooth support, making it a versatile pick for those who want to play on Xbox, PC, Steam Deck, PlayStation, phones, and beyond. It also has better materials overall, complete with sexy metallic accents.

A more cinematic alternative to the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 is the LS50X below here. This is arguably one of the best Xbox headsets on the market and a personal favorite. In my LS50X review, I described it as near-perfect for good reason. The coolant-gel infused earcups are dreamy across long sessions, with a generous soundscape and a superior microphone experience that tends to edge out the competition. It’s also enjoying its best price ever for Black Friday on Amazon and at other retailers.

SteelSeries also has several great gaming headsets on sale this Black Friday. The first of these is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1, which is a budget-friendly wired headset that’s compatible with Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, and mobile devices with a 3.5mm audio jack. It doesn’t have extra goodies like other headsets do, but it looks sleek, sounds great, has robust build quality, and even has a fully retractable noise-cancelling microphone. On top of that, the cushioned earcups and highly adjustable design ensure that you’ll be able to game for hours on end comfortably. For a headset that’s just $50 for Black Friday, that’s nothing to scoff at.

There’s also the SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless, which is a fantastic choice for those that want something wireless. The 40mm drivers are quite potent and sound excellent, and like the Arctis Nova 1, the large earcups are well-cushioned and adjustable. The USB-C dongle for wireless connectivity comes with a USB-A adapter so you can use it with any device that lacks a USB-C port (such as Xbox consoles), and the stability of the signal itself is rock solid. The 20-hour battery life is awesome, too, and you can use a 3.5mm cable for a wired connection if you run out of juice during a gaming session. The micro-USB charging port is an annoyance and the mic could sound better, but overall, it’s a great wireless headset for Xbox and PC gamers.

For PC gamers specifically, the SteelSeries Arctis 9 Dual Wireless is also worthy of consideration. It has the same great sound and comfort as the Arctis Nova 1, as well as the fantastic wireless signal stability that the Arctis 1 Wireless offers. However, the Arctis 9 supports both 2.4GHz Wireless and Bluetooth, allowing you to use it wirelessly with both your PC and devices like smartphones and tablets. The microphone sounds crystal clear, too, and it can be retracted into the chassis of the headset when not in use. Rounding things out are the excellent 20+ hours of battery life, enabling you to keep the headset off the charger for multiple play sessions.

If you fancy something a little simpler, Turtle Beach’s Battle Buds are also on sale. These are 3.5mm wired headphones that will work with practically any device that has a 3.5mm jack. Slip them into your PC’s sound port or your Xbox’s 3.5mm port in the controller, and you’ll be good to go. Just make sure you get the plug all the way into the socket. This headset is cheap and cheerful and won’t blow you away in terms of sound quality, but it’s also $15 for Black Friday, and ideal for simple comms in competitive games.

If you want something that’s a little more oriented towards music, Turtle Beach’s Scout earbuds are also on sale. These earbuds boast a fairly impressive 5 hours of playback time, with a further 20 hours baked into the dock. They can also recharge to 5 hours of playback after just 15 minutes, and have a sleek and modern profile. They sadly aren’t quite Bluetooth 5.2, and I typically prefer earbuds with aptX codecs for maximum reliability in a world where Bluetooth is still kinda sucky, but at $60 they’re a decent option if you’re a Turtle Beach fan.
