Android 12 update is now rolling out for the Galaxy S10 Lite

Do you remember the Galaxy S10 Lite? The phone that never got a sequel because it was succeeded by the Galaxy S20 FE roughly half a year later? Well, although the Galaxy S10 Lite is quietly living its life without giving us many reasons to shine a spotlight on it, the phone is now making it back in the headlines thanks to the Android 12 update.

You guessed it! Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for the international Galaxy S10 Lite variant featuring model number SM-G770F. As of this writing, the update appears to be available in Spain, but additional markets should be joining soon. The update carries firmware version G770FXS6FULA and includes the December 2021 security patch.

One UI 4.0 refreshes the UI of the majority of Samsung apps and adds new customization options through widgets and Material You color themes. You can check our Galaxy S21 Ultra One UI 4.0 hands-on video below for a closer look at this new update, though keep in mind that some things might not look the same on your Galaxy S10 Lite.

As usual, you can check for new updates from the Settings app on your phone, or you can wait for the update notification to arrive. Alternatively, SamMobile readers can download official firmware files from our website for free and install the latest Samsung updates manually if they want to skip waiting for the OTA update process to include them.
