Stepping up to the AMD RX 5600 XT unlocks 1440p gaming at considerably high visual settings in Bannerlord. It’s a solid GPU with 6GB GDDR6 RAM and plenty of processing power to handle even the more demanding games like this one.
The RTX 2060 SUPER is a super good GPU, matching similar levels of performance as a 1070 Ti with the added ability to do some ray tracing without really damaging frame rates. With 6GB GDDR6 RAM and the exceptional Turing platform from NVIDIA, you’ve got a killer mid-tier GPU here.
The RX 5500 XT is the new budget GPU from AMD, packing a punch for the price. It’s PCIe 4.0, has 8GB GDDR6 RAM, and two speedy fans to keep everything cooled. This card won’t run Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord at max settings well enough, but if you turn some settings down, it’ll handle even more massive sieges.
You could grab the more affordable NVIDIA GTX 1050, but this 1060 SUPER is at least better than what’s listed on the recommended system requirements. Like the RX 5500 XT, you shouldn’t expect stellar performance with everything turned up to the max level, but for most playthroughs, it’ll do just fine with 6GB GDDR6 RAM.
The 5700 XT from AMD is an excellent platform for 1440p and some lighter 4K gaming. AMD has yet to bring out the big guns to take on NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti, but this card is about as good as we’re going to get for the time being. Just be sure not to crank everything up if you’re going 4K.
This is the big one. The RTX 2080 Ti is pricey, but there’s a good reason for that. It’s an excellent platform, even for 4K gaming. It’s overkill for most PC games available to play today, but if you somehow have a 4K panel with a high refresh rate, this GPU will be able to pump out enough frames.
Playing Bannerlord on your PC is a demanding task, not just because it’s a massive game in scope and detail, but because it’s also in Steam early access. For a GPU, you should always try and spend as much as you can. If you buy a more affordable GPU now and upgrade sooner, you’ll be paying out again, which is why it’s smart to go as high as you can.
The RX 5600 XT is just that, it’s a smart choice for most gamers right now with 1440p becomign the sweet spot. This GPU will be able to handle Bannerlord at this resolution, with an even smoother experience if you turn it down to 1080p or lower the visual settings.
If you want to max everything out and go for 4K, you’ll want nothing other than the RTX 2080 Ti. It’s likely overkill for most PC builds, but if you have the monitor and games to boot, you’ll be in for one excellent gaming experience.
