You can soon use Apple Music, Apple TV+ apps on your Galaxy Windows laptop
Apple Music and Apple TV+ are among the world’s biggest audio and video streaming services. They were earlier limited to Apple’s own platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS. Later, Apple expanded Apple Music to Android and Apple TV+ to smart TV operating systems, including Samsung’s Tizen OS. On PCs, you could use them via a web browser too, but it was a sub-par experience.
Last night, Microsoft announced during its Surface 2022 launch that Apple Music and Apple TV+ apps are coming to the Windows operating system. You can soon use these apps on your Samsung laptops running Windows 10 or Windows 11. These native apps will reportedly feature a modern UI design and faster performance, which should improve the user experience by a huge margin compared to using Apple services via a web browser.
The early beta preview versions of Apple Music and Apple TV+ apps will soon be available on Windows 10 and 11 via the Microsoft Store. And the stable versions of the apps will be released sometime early next year. If you use Apple devices/services alongside Samsung’s, you would appreciate this move.
Apple is now focusing on broadening the reach of its services as it is prioritizing its subscription revenue over hardware sales. As you can remember, the company opened its AirPlay 2 feature to third-party smart TV brands, including Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, HiSense, Hitachi, Philips, and Roku.
