When is the Galaxy Ring coming, and what will it cost?

Samsung teased the Galaxy Ring for the first time last month during the launch of the Galaxy S24. Today, the company revealed what the Galaxy Ring looks like, both on its own and when it’s on someone’s finger.

The Galaxy Ring will be an excellent alternative for those who don’t like wearing a smartwatch or wish to use a regular watch while still being able to track their health, but when will consumers be able to buy Samsung’s smart ring?

When is the Galaxy Ring launching officially?

Samsung is only confirming that the Galaxy Ring will be available sometime later this year. Since this is completely new territory for the Korean giant, it could take a few months to make sure the product is ready before providing us with a concrete release date or time frame.

Our best guess right now is that Samsung will do a full showcase of the Galaxy Ring in the second half of the year at the same Unpacked event where it will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Pricing for the Galaxy Ring is under wraps as well. Its price tag could fall somewhere between Samsung’s smartwatches and the recently released Galaxy Fit 3 fitness tracker, but it could also be more expensive than a smartwatch, as this will be Samsung’s first foray into the smart ring market.

Like other fitness tracking rings available in the market, the Galaxy Ring could feature motion sensors, a heart rate monitor, and Bluetooth. It will likely be able to track your workouts, stress, sleep duration and quality, and blood oxygen levels. It isn’t known whether it has GPS for outdoor workout tracking, but it will likely not have that feature due to its size.

Stay tuned for SamMobile’s coverage of the Galaxy Ring in the coming weeks and months.
