vivo V29 Pro’s launch date announced
vivo’s V29 series consists of V29, V29e, and V29 Lite, which will be joined by the V29 Pro on October 4. The smartphone will be unveiled in India at noon local time and will be sold in the country through vivo’s official Indian website, Flipkart, and offline retail stores.
The press note we received says vivo will launch the “V29 series” in India next Wednesday, meaning multiple phones. The other one is the V29 since the brand already launched the V29e in India, and there’s no mention of the V29 Lite on the promo page set up by vivo on its Indian website.
vivo hasn’t detailed the V29 Pro’s specs sheet but revealed its design and color options – Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black. Like the V23 Pro, V25 Pro, and V27 Pro, the V29 Pro’s back panel also changes color, but that only happens with the Majestic Red version.
The V29 Pro features a circular flash ring called Smart Aura Light on its rear cover, joined by three cameras, with one being the “2x pro portrait camera” using Sony’s IMX663 sensor that will offer “flawless edge detection & stunning background bokeh.”
The vivo V29 Pro will also feature three India-exclusive Wedding Style Portrait filters – Prosecco, Neo Retro, and Pastels. Moreover, the smartphone will be 2g heavier than the V29 at 188g.
You can expect vivo to reveal more about the V29 Pro in the lead-up to next week’s launch event. In the meantime, you can read our detailed vivo V29 review here.
