Samsung now has more QD-OLED TVs on sale in the USA
Samsung announced more than a dozen new TVs for the USA last month, and now, the company is expanding its QD-OLED TV series with a few additional S90C and S95C models, priced between $1,899 and $4,499.
The company is bringing the 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch S95C QD-OLED TVs to the USA, along with the 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch S90C variants. Here’s what Samsung asks for these six new models:
- 77-inch QD-OLED S90C: $3,599
- 65-inch QD-OLED S90C: coming soon
- 55-inch QD-OLED S90C: $1,899
- 77-inch QD-OLED S95C: $4,499
- 65-inch QD-OLED S95C: $3,299
- 55-inch QD-OLED S95C: $2,499
What’s the difference between the S95C and S90C QD-OLED TVs?
As you may have noticed, the QD-OLED S90C variants are cheaper than their S95C counterparts. And as we explained in our hands-on video at CES 2023, Samsung purposefully differentiated these two lines to make one of them (S90C) more affordable than the other.
First, in terms of similarities, the S90C and S95C QD-OLED TV lines boast 4K UHD resolutions and 144Hz refresh rates. The 2023 new models use the same Quantum Processor 4K as the 2022 variants, but Samsung claims to have better optimized the latest models to have improved performance.
As for differences, the S95C supports Samsung One Connect Box, whereas the S90C does not. And instead of using OTS Plus Sound like the S95C, the cheaper S90C models use OTS Lite.
