Meizu 17 and 17 Pro appear on Geekbench with 8GB and 12GB RAM

We are just two days before Meizu’s announcement of the 17 and 17 Pro and the company has been executing a long teaser campaign to hype up the phone maker’s new flagships. The latest news isn’t an official teaser, but the phones now have corresponding entires that appeared on Geekbench.

Both the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro were tested on the popular benchmarking app. The devices are configured with 8GB and 12GB of RAM, respectively. Meanwhile, both entries show Android 10, which we know will be skinned with Flyme OS 8.1, as revealed by Meizu.

Both entries refer to a motherboard: kona, which denotes the Snadpragon 865 chipset – so we can also expect 5G support on both new Meizu phones.

The Meizu 17 Pro is the one to watch. This one will come with 27W wireless charging support with 40W wired charging. It will also use UFS 3.1 storage, and LPDDR5 RAM. The 17 Pro will also use a quad-camera setup with a ring flash in the center made up of a 64MP main camera.

The 18 Pro will bring a custom Super AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole selfie camera with a 32MP selfie camera inside. Although the Meizu 17 is officially confirmed to have a 4,500 mAh battery (and support 30W wired charging), the power cell in the 17 Pro has not yet been revealed.

The company will officially announce (what’s left to announce of) the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro in two days, on May 8.
