With a new generation of consoles comes new hardware capabilities. One of the exciting new features of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is the ability to run games at 120 FPS, providing a smoother experience 60 FPS. We’ve tracked down all the games so far that support 120 FPS at the very least as an option or in certain modes. Running games at a higher framerate allows for more animation detail, reduces input lag and generally allows for a better gaming experience. Xbox Series X and S games with 120 FPS Will more games be added?
Developers have the option of targeting different refresh rates and resolutions, so this list is sure to grow. Microsoft has previously discussed how some backward compatible titles can have their framerates doubled on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, meaning that in theory some 60FPS games may run at 120FPS on the new consoles.
As yet, we do not have a list of the games that will benefit from these enhancements. Some of them may end up being among the best Xbox games available.

The Xbox Series S plays all the games the Xbox Series X does, from backward compatible titles to next-generation experiences. It’s a digital-only console with a weaker graphics unit but the same overall hardware.
