Lenovo’s budget IdeaPad 5 with latest AMD Ryzen CPUs now available
Lenovo has a new budget laptop on the scene, and it’s chocked full of new AMD goodness. The new Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is now on sale in both the U.S. and UK, bringing AMD’s latest Ryzen 4000 Series chips at a price that doesn’t break the bank. You can currently score one model in the U.S. for $690, while the UK has a little more wiggle room on configurations starting at £405.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 offers a pretty decent spread of features for a laptop that doesn’t have a high-end price. The new Ryzen processors should offer a pretty powerful base of performance thanks to the enhancements AMD made with thsi generation. On top of that, you can snag up to 1TB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM.
The 15-inch screen is a 1080p panel with two IPS options at 300 nits of brightness and one TN option at 250 nits. You also get a webcam privacy shutter, along with USB-C connectivity, an optional fingerprint sensor, and up to 15 hours of battery life with quick charge.
