Huawei Mate 60 to come with a 50 MP triple camera on the circular island

The Huawei Mate 60 series is in the works, and according to Digital Chat Station, the phone will keep the circular design on the back. The tipster posted a leaked case on their Weibo profile, revealing the island will be even bigger than the Mate 50 series’.

The leakster also stated the main camera will have a 50 MP sensor, suggesting it will be pretty similar to the primary shooter in the previous Mate series.

The Huawei Mate 60 is expected to keep the 1220p resolution, advertised in China as 1.5K. We hope the panel could evolve to an LTPO OLED, as it currently is a regular one without the fancy adaptive refresh rate seen in other flagship smartphones.

Earlier reports suggested the company will launch a smartphone with 5G connectivity – a technology Huawei wasn’t able to use so far. The platform could have been developed jointly with SMIC – Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation, which is based in China. The modem could be built on a 7nm process which isn’t cutting edge these days but more than Huawei can offer to its users on the international scene right now.
