Here are all the gizmos Windows Central writers bought this Black Friday
The Windows Central writers have been busy bees today, writing up all of the best Black Friday deals we could find. Whether that’s the best deals on PC parts, laptops, or Surface, a lot of digital ink has been spilled at the altar of capitalism this year. However, its hasn’t been all work and no play: we’ve been snagging some deals for ourselves, too.
We haven’t gone as crazy as we have in previous years, but our writers still managed to take advantage of some pretty great sales. Here’s a rundown of everything that caught our attention enough to force us to pony up.
Xbox 20th Anniversary Contoller
I have a bit of a thing for Xbox controllers. One might say I have too many. That’s why it was so hard to resist the Xbox 20th Anniversary controller when it launched. But thanks to a stellar sale at Walmart, I snapped it up $20 cheaper than its usual going rate. I call that a win, but my partner might disagree. Hey, at least I got a cool controller out of it! – Daniel Thorp-Lancaster
Cyberpunk 2077
I bought and played through Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, but I picked up a PC copy for 50% off at GoG to gift to a close friend. The game received a lot of backlash at launch, but I found it to be one of the most affecting RPGs I’ve played. If you’ve been on the fence about it, paying half price should help you make up your mind. – Cale Hunt
Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen)
The Xbox One is the primary media device in my living room. While I have a handheld remote, I picked up an Amazon Echo 3rd Gen to control the console with my voice. The Xbox skill for Alexa can turn the console on and off, play and pause media, and even control the volume of my TV. – Sean Endicott
PDP Afterglow Controller
PDP’s Afterglow controllers are the best gaming deal money can buy. My Xbox 360 Afterglow lasted a decade, and based on my time with the Afterglow Xbox One controller, it feels like I’m set for another ten years. Afterglows are excellent for PC gaming and beat the crap out of Microsoft’s first-party options both in terms of cool lighting and value. – Robert Carnevale
Electriq 49-inch UW Monitor
I’ve been using a dual-screen setup on my main desktop PC for about eight years and thought it was about time I bought an ultrawide monitor to ramp up productivity and enjoy games a little more. It worked! – Rich Edmonds
Amazon Echo Dot (4th Gen) with clock
I wanted an alarm clock for my bedside table, but I also wanted it to have Alexa built in. So, I grabbed the Echo Dot 4th Gen LED edition, which has a clock built into the mesh fabric on the front. Pretty sweet. – Zac Bowden
