Galaxy Z Flip 6 might get more RAM and 120Hz cover screen

It has been more than two months since the launch of the Galaxy S24, and Samsung’s focus has now shifted to its next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. These two phones will bring some improvements that users have been demanding for years.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 may have Exynos chip and 12GB RAM

According to a claim from tipster @kro_roe, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will get two variants for the first time, one with an Exynos chip and the other with a Snapdragon processor. If this information is correct, this would be the first time an Exynos chip is used in a Galaxy Z series smartphone. The Exynos 2400 has been a huge improvement over previous Exynos chips, and maybe Samsung thought it would not cause issues in thin Galaxy Z series phones.

The rumor also claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, and that would be an improvement over the Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, not all regions will get the variant with 12GB RAM. Storage will be limited to 256GB and 512GB models, like last year.

The leak also claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a longer battery, which could be due to the rumored 4,000mAh battery. More importantly, the report says that the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s cover screen will have a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone may run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 out of the box.
