Galaxy S20 FE’s 4G Snapdragon version gets May 2023 security update
Samsung is releasing new software updates to various Galaxy smartphones and tablets every day. After releasing the May 2023 security update to the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23, the South Korean firm has released the new security update to the Galaxy S20 FE’s LTE Snapdragon version (SM-G780G).
What’s new with Galaxy S20 FE’s May 2023 security update?
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE comes with firmware version G780GXXU4EWD2. The update is currently available in Russia and is expected to expand to more countries within the next few weeks. The new software brings the May 2023 security patch that fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It might also include general bug fixes and reliability improvements.
If you have a Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) and if you live in Russia, you can download the new software update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin software.
Samsung launched the epic Galaxy S20 FE smartphone in late 2020 with Android 10 onboard. Since then, it has received three major Android OS updates (Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13) and won’t get any more major updates in the future.
