Galaxy M52 5G, Galaxy M53 5G get bug fixing updates with July 2022 firmware

Just days before the end of the month, Samsung has released the July 2022 security update to the Galaxy M52 5G and the Galaxy M53 5G. The two smartphones have started getting the new security patch in European and Latin American countries.

The Galaxy M52 5G is getting the new software update with firmware version M526BXXS1BVG4 in Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru. The phone’s successor, the Galaxy M53 5G, is getting the new update with firmware version M536BXXU1AVG1 in Europe, India, Malaysia, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The July 2022 security patch fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy M52 5G or Galaxy M53 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download and install the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy M52 5G in September 2021 with Android 11 onboard and received the Android 12 update earlier this year. The Galaxy M53 5G was launched in April 2022 with Android 12 and is expected to get three major Android OS updates.
