BREAKING: Galaxy Z Flip 5 Android 14 One UI 6.0 beta is out!
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 launched in late July, running One UI 5.1.1 out of the box. It will go on to get One UI 6.0 with its first major OS upgrade, which will also include a jump from Android 13 to Android 14. But, as expected, Samsung is giving Z Flip 5 owners a chance to lend a hand in testing One UI 6.0 so they can offer valuable feedback that will help the company roll out the update to the general public as fast and as bug-free as possible.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets One UI 6.0 beta update in the US
After opening the One UI 6.0 Beta Program to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Samsung has opened One UI 6.0 Beta Program registrations for Galaxy Z Flip 5 owners in the US. The first One UI 6.0 beta update comes with firmware version F73U1EU1ZWJ2, and it appears to be available for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
If you are in the US and want to beta-test One UI 6.0 on your Galaxy Z Flip 5, you can register your phone through the Samsung Members app. After signing into the app using your Samsung account, click on the One UI 6.0 Beta Program banner on the home page of the app and register your phone.
After registering, the first beta firmware will become available for download over the air and can be grabbed by tapping the Download and install button in the phone’s Settings » Software update.
Android 14-based One UI 6.0 brings dozens of new features, including a brand-new design for quick setting toggles, slightly revamped notifications, some new widgets, a new font (One UI Sans), and updated stock apps. You can check out all those new features in our in-depth One UI 6.0 video below.
