Android 14 update expanding to Galaxy A52 in Asia and Europe

While most eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets received the Android 14 update before the end of last year, the update for the Galaxy A52 was delayed. In Russia, the popular mid-range smartphone received the Android 14 update in January. Now, the update is rolling out in Asian and European countries.

Galaxy A52 gets Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update in Asia and Europe

The Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy A52 is now available in European countries, and it comes with firmware version A525FXXU6EXB3. It is a 1.2GB update and should ideally be downloaded using a Wi-Fi network. This is the third and probably last major Android OS update for the Galaxy A52. It was launched in 2021 with Android 11 onboard. The Galaxy A52 received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022.

It is available across Asian and European countries. Those countries include Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Croatia, France, Germany, India, Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Libya, Malaysia, Morrocco, New Zealand, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Czech Republic, the Philippines, the UAE, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

One UI 6.0 features

In addition to One UI 6.0, the update also brings the January 2024 security patch, which fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities. It also brings dozens of new features, including a new Quick Panel layout, new emoji designs, and a new media player widget for the lock screen and the notifications area.

The update also brings a simpler UI for the Camera app, letting you easily choose picture and video resolutions and more watermark options.
