Zelda-like ‘A Knight’s Quest’ launches on Xbox One

A few weeks ago, we highlighted a game A Knight’s Quest which is essentially Zelda meets Sunset Overdrive. You can run along walls and have to solve a variety of puzzles to prevent the apocalypse. Of course, there’s a lot of sword and shield combat thrown in there. The game is now available on Xbox One for $25.

According to publisher Curve Digital, you step into the shoes of Rusty, a clumsy adventurer who accidentally triggers the end of the world. However, it’s up to you to stop it. Unfortunately, this isn’t an easy task at all. Just like the Zelda series, there are huge bosses to take on.

Rusty begins his adventure with just a trusty sword and basic shield, but he’ll soon unlock Spirit Powers – spectacular abilities which have the power to transform not only himself, but also the world around him. For example, you can use the powers of fire, ice, and time in battles or to solve puzzles.

We’ve been playing A Knight’s Quest for a week and absolutely love it. While it may not be as refined as other games from a sound perspective, the visuals are amazing, and the controls are responsive. It’s unclear if the title is Xbox One X Enhanced, but it looks stunning on a 4K display. If you’re in the market for a somewhat casual experience between those heavy-hitters like Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, be sure to give this one a go.
